this news story is off-balance! I think at the very minimum you should quote the u.s. position BEFORE you quote an NGO bashing the U.S.position….we all know that (this NGO) hates the bush administration so they are hardly in a position to give an unbiased opinion. also, we (the u.s.) are called upon to protect a lot of other people and entities around the world (peacekeepers, humanitarian workers, heads of state under security threats, the UN workers in iraq). the u.s. is usually the first govt called to protect someone when under threat and this is because we have the…
